This position will be based in Albert Street, Brisbane and hybrid/remote working will be considered. In the heart of Brisbane CBD, nestled between Queen Street Mall and Eagle Street Pier in a truly 24/7 precinct - connected and surrounded by abundant retail, hospitality and wellness options. This role sits within our “Consulting” business which encompasses professionals with industry-leading expertise in areas including decarbonisation, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, renewables advisory, asset optimisation, and digital solutions. A multi-sector business unit, we are focused on providing consulting solutions during the planning, analysis, operation and optimisation of assets, facilities, and infrastructure.
So what is integrity engineering?
Integrity engineering is all about ensuring that equipment, systems, and structures in power generation, oil, and gas, and water industries are dependable, safe, and are in accordance with legal and business stipulations. Integrity engineering primarily consists of:
Designing and implementing maintenance schedules to maintain equipment in good working condition. This could involve routine maintenance, repairs, and periodic replacement of components.
Data Analysis: Analysis of inspection data to assess the condition of the asset and predict potential failures. This supports maintenance and repair planning before significant problems occur.
Risk Assessment: Determining the risks associated with equipment failure and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. This includes creating risk-based inspection plans and prioritising maintenance.
That all activities are in accordance with industry standards and regulations. This includes compliance with codes like ASME, API, and others that apply to the specific industry.
There are a variety of tasks and responsibilities you might be assigned however some common tasks that many of our graduate engineers perform include:
Assisting senior engineers with projects: You may be asked to help with research, testing, or other tasks related to ongoing projects.
Learning Wood processes and procedures: It's important to understand how Wood operates and the specific procedures and protocols you'll be expected to follow.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Engineering projects often involve multiple disciplines and teams, so you may need to work with colleagues from other areas of Wood.
Debugging and troubleshooting: If a product or system isn't working as intended, you may be called upon to help identify and resolve the problem.
Preparing reports and presentations : You may need to communicate your findings and progress to your team, manager, or other stakeholders.
Continuously improving your skills and knowledge: The engineering field is constantly evolving, so it's important to stay up to date with new developments and best practices.

Completed your Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering degree by the end of 2025 or earlier .
Attention to detail: You will be responsible for creating detailed designs and specifications and must pay close attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and safety of the work.
Teamwork: Most engineering projects require collaboration and teamwork, so strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential
Adaptability: Engineering is a constantly evolving field, and as a graduate engineer you should be able to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
Problem solving: Engineering often requires finding creative solutions to complex problems. Good critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Communication skills: The ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner is important for a graduate engineer. This includes the ability to write reports, give presentations, and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
Continuous Learning: Technologies and methodologies are constantly changing so staying up to date is an important attribute
Creativity: have that innate ability to “think outside the box”
Analytical ability: ability to think analytically to fully define a problem and develop solutions suited to the problem.
Logical thinking: ability to understand how a system works, what can go wrong and how to fix it. This requires the ability to think logically and evaluate and understand each element that makes up the system
