At Alberta Certified Landscapers Ltd. we pride ourselves on a positive, team-oriented culture! ACL is an established Landscaping, Lawn Maintenance and Snow Removal company operating from the south side of Edmonton. We have sites throughout the Edmonton and surrounding areas and have been operating for over 30 years. We are looking for strong, experienced and ambitious teammates to become part of our year round family. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, be reliable and have a great work ethic. As well, our team members must also be able to provide a clear security clearance/criminal records check. A vehicle is required to get to and from the shop only. A company vehicle is then provided to get to the job site(s).
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the health and safety of yourself, our clientele and team members.
* Ensure constant communication is maintained with management and required paperwork is filled out properly and on time.
* Assist in the snow removal, grounds maintenance and landscaping duties such as (but not limited to) mowing with multiple types of mowers, weed eating, edging, litter pick up, manual dirt work, grading, sodding, seeding, planting trees and shrubs, watering, weeding, bed installation, maintenance and sidewalk/parking lot snow removal.
* THIS IS A MANUAL LABORER POSITION!! Possible potential for heavy equipment duties in the future but not guaranteed. This is a manual labour positon!
* Attention to detail and careful execution is a must!
* When submitting your resume and covering letter please state your experience with small and heavy equipment for snow removal, lawn maintenance and landscaping. Should you have skid steer or plow experience please let us know!
Requirements:
* Strong commitment to providing fabulous customer service
* Excellent time management skills
* Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Team orientated.
* The successful candidates must be physically capable of handling the elements of the weather (rain, shine, heat, cold ...).
* Potential long hours (shifts vary - 8 + hours daily). These times may vary at the discretion of management. Possible weekend shifts (weather dependent) as well. (Winter work you must be available 7 days a week)
* Must be physically capable of the above mentioned as well as lift up to 60 pounds. Must be fit and have the ability to lift heavy loads repetitively and perform continuous manual labor duties all day.
* Be able to get to shop location which is on the SE side of Edmonton. Punctuality is a must! A drivers license and vehicle will be required to work with us.
* Long term employment is our preference for the right candidates wanting to further their skills within the scope of landscaping, lawn maintenance and snow removal.
* Available to start immediately preferably. Hiring ASAP!
