Job Summary
We are seeking an Executive Accounting Officer to join our team at EGM Partners. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management and leadership.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading financial reporting, compliance, treasury management, and budgeting across the group.
You will work closely with the CFO to drive financial transformation initiatives, enhance working capital management, and drive M&A integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and relevant tax laws, ensuring timely submission to regulatory bodies such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including the reconciliation of accounts, financial consolidation, and preparation of monthly management financial reports, including Board reporting.
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and compliance with external regulations, including income tax, GST, FBT, and other compliance obligations under Australian law.
Oversee the organisation's treasury function, ensuring efficient management of cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements.
Monitor banking relationships and manage cash forecasting, ensuring adequate funding for operational and capital expenditure needs.
Working closely with the Head of Commercial and Business Unit Finance Managers, drive the Group's budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with other Shared Service leaders (HR, IT, Marketing, and Legal) to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
Maintain and update financial models to support business growth and investment decisions.
Oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Oversee all shareholder (PE owner) reporting obligations, including provision of monthly financial and other reports within required timeframes.
