Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules' firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Guidewire BillingCenter applications, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of Guidewire frameworks and a solid background in Java development.
Must have Skills
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter (Configuration and Integration).
• Strong proficiency in Gosu programming and Java.
• Experience with Guidewire Data Model, Product Model, Billing Instructions, and Billing Flows.
• Experience with Integration Development (web services, messaging, plugins).
• Familiarity with Guidewire Studio and GUnit testing.
• Knowledge of XML, XSD, and SOAP/RESTful services.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Guidewire Certification in BillingCenter.
• Experience with other Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Exposure to insurance domain concepts, especially around billing and payments.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and load testing tools.
Job responsibilities
Customer is one of the industry leaders offering a platform for property and casualty (P&C) insurance for carriers in the U.S. and worldwide. The position is for a scrum team lead with experience in Guidewire integration.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions using Guidewire BillingCenter.
• Customize BillingCenter functionalities using Gosu and Java.
• Work closely with business analysts and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop integration components using web services (SOAP/REST), messaging, and plugins.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging.
• Ensure adherence to development best practices and Guidewire configuration standards.
• Support deployment activities and post-deployment validations.
