Job Description
On board, train and develop staff to uphold high standards of customer service and safety
Manage member relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and enhancing overall satisfaction
Oversee inventory management of equipment, supplies, and retail products to ensure optimal stock levels
Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
Implement marketing initiatives to attract new members and promote gym programs or special events
Maintain cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with health regulations at all times
Monitor sales performance, manage retail sales activities, and optimize pricing strategies for profitability
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training & development opportunities, and foster a collaborative environment
Oversee shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet operational needs
Experience
Proven supervisory or management experience within a fitness center or retail environment with strong leadership skills
Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, and team management
Skilled in negotiation, sales management, and customer service excellence
Knowledge of POS systems and retail math for accurate sales tracking and reporting
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse clientele
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Previous assistant manager or retail management experience is highly desirable
Canadian High School Diploma or equivalent. Post Secondary education in business and/or marketing preferred
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
2+ year's experience in the sales or hospitality industry. Preference is for related gym experience
