Gym Trainer are central to this mission by engaging with members, leading group sessions, and creating a motivating, results-driven experience every day.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Gym Trainer, you will deliver the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes helping members define their fitness goals, designing simple workout routines, and teaching them how to safely use gym equipment. You will play a vital role in fostering member success and satisfaction.
• Lead and manage the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, following the established schedule.
• Consult with members about their fitness objectives and instruct them on safe and proper equipment use.
• Develop bi-weekly workout plans with varied exercises to support member engagement.
• Meet class participation requirements based on club size and member activity levels.
• Assist with front desk operations, including answering phones, member check-ins, sign-ups, tours, and account updates.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries, escalating concerns to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.

• Dependable, punctual, and reliable work ethic.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to exceed member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism in all interactions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Nationally recognized personal training certification.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in personal training or group instruction.
• Background in customer service or client-facing roles.
