Hardware Associate

The Hardware Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and support within our retail environment. This position involves assisting customers with their hardware needs, providing product knowledge, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about hardware products, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating hardware products.
Provide expert advice on product features and benefits to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions and returns.
Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring products are displayed effectively.
Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory counts.
Qualifications

Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience.
Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions accurately.
Experience with cashiering or operating POS systems is preferred.
Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
Technical sales experience is beneficial for advising customers on hardware products.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting store initiatives.
Previous experience in retail or hardware environments is advantageous but not required.
