Urgent opening for "Head Accounts Payable" position for our leading client for Ahmedabad Location.

Roles & Responsibiliti
• Location: Ahmedabad, India (with international travel to South Africa)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead our Accounts Payable (AP)
function. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payables
management, ensuring timely vendor payments, strengthening payment controls, and
driving process improvements. This role requires periodic travel to South Africa (23 months,
as per business requirements) to support on-ground financial operations and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
of vendor invoice processing and payments
Develop and implement effective payment control policies and procedures
Monitor outstanding payables and ensure timely and accurate settlements
Review aging reports for payables, identify risks, and take corrective actions
Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to resolve invoice and
payment issues
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory
requirements
Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and cash flow forecasts for senior management
Handle audits related to payables and ensure proper documentation
Manage and mentor the AP team, driving performance and accountability
Travel to South Africa for 23 months (as required) to oversee payables operations
and stakeholder coordination
Qualifications & Experience:
Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory
Minimum 2+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience post CA qualification,
including at least 1 year in a similar role
Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and payment controls
Experience working with international operations is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Tally (Tally ERP / Tally Prime preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as required
Additional Requirements:
Must be open to extended travel assignments in South Africa (23 months at a time,
based on business needs)
