Location: Khar West, Mumbai
Salary: ₹65,000 – ₹70,000 per month + Incentives & Tips
Duty Hours: 10 hours per day
Weekly Off: 1 day (as per standard schedule)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of a vibrant multi-cuisine bar-kitchen offering a diverse menu of Indian, Chinese/Asian, and Continental/American comfort dishes. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and consistency to the kitchen while maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations & Leadership
Supervise daily kitchen activities and ensure smooth functioning of all sections (Indian, Continental, Chinese, and Grill).
Lead, motivate, and train the culinary team to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Conduct regular kitchen briefings and tastings to ensure food quality and presentation meet brand standards.
Menu Development & Innovation
Create and execute innovative dishes aligned with its multi-cuisine and bar-food concept.
Plan and update seasonal menus, specials, and events to keep offerings fresh and engaging.
Incorporate feedback from management and customers to improve recipes and presentation.
Quality, Hygiene & Compliance
Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and sanitation.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with company SOPs and FSSAI norms.
Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage.
Inventory & Cost Management
Manage ordering, inventory, and stock rotation efficiently.
Monitor food cost, control wastage, and optimize ingredient usage.
Work with management to analyze performance, costing, and profitability.
Live Kitchen & Guest Interaction
Handle live kitchen operations with confidence and flair during service hours.
Engage positively with guests during live counters or open kitchen experiences, showcasing skill and hospitality.
Requirements
Minimum 6–8 years of culinary experience with at least 2–3 years in a Head Chef role in a multi-cuisine or bar-kitchen setup.
Strong hands-on experience in live kitchen operations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Should possess a pleasant personality and a strong sense of teamwork.
Sound knowledge of kitchen management, menu engineering, and food costing.
