Head Designer | BRAS N THINGS | Pyrmont

We have an exciting, career changing opportunity in a leadership position for Bras N Things as Head Designer for our Fashion Lingerie Category on a 7-month parental leave cover contract.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, Product & Marketing, you will be a proven design leader who is seeking to build on an already outstanding career. You will be instrumental in establishing and driving the creative vision and brand direction, generating ideas and developing commercially successful ranges with your teams. A true people leader, you will provide mentoring and development opportunities, inspire and motivate the team and promote cross functional work and collaboration. You will also support the business in design led projects to further cement Bras N Things position in the market.
Key responsibilities include
Lead, inspire and manage a group of designers
Working closely with Head Designer of Everyday Category to ensure a seamless design plan each quarter and product synchronization
Research global consumer trends through creative forecast services, international magazines, market analysis and interpret these for our brand and market
Ensure the seasonal product direction is executed from conception to retail, across a broad range of categories
Develop strong relationships and collaboration between In Season and Innovation design teams, and cross functionally with Product, Retail, Sales and Supply teams
Ensure ranges are aligned to trends, consumer insights and strategic plans.
Identifying future product opportunities and map these in brand pipelines.
Essential for your success you will have
Inspirational team leadership capability and solid experience in a senior design role
Tertiary qualifications in Fashion & Textile Design –garment construction, pattern making, and yarn knowledge
Proficiency in Adobe programs
Your finger is firmly on the pulse with trends of which you can translate to best-selling ranges
You're innovative and not afraid to push the boundaries
Ability to develop relationships with people at all levels within the business
