Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate analysis and reporting of monthly, quarterly and yearly books of accounts to present to management, shareholders, and statutory compliance bodies
• Be responsible for fund-raising, assessing working capital requirements, preparing CMA data, renewing working capital facilities, and arranging short-term fund requirements
• Ensure timely submission of stock reports, FFR-1, FFR-2, and other required reports as required by the Bank and other financial institutions
• Be responsible for accounts finalization, statutory audit, and preparation and presentation of annual reports and quarterly results on BSE
• Lead the audit preparation, completion, and discussion with the Group Auditors, Internal Auditors, and Statutory Auditors to manage audit findings and close all audits with due diligence
• Prepare MIS reports and various cost-benefit analyses on a monthly basis to explain the reasons for variations between Budget vs. Actual, Actual vs. Last Year, to aid management in their decision-making process
• Design and monitor internal control processes, procedures, and SOP's on a quarterly/half-yearly/yearly basis, and share findings with management to test the adequacy and efficiency of the internal control system in the organization
• Prepare cash flow statements and cash forecasts on a monthly basis to understand the cash requirements of the business, highlight insufficiencies/excess availability of funds to management for adequate business decisions
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and corporate requirements at all times, handle Income Tax, VAT and GST assessment, and liaise with Government officials
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification such as CA or CPA preferred
• ++ years of experience in a similar role in a listed company, preferably in a manufacturing or trading company
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, or Oracle is a must
• Demonstrated leadership skills to manage a team of accountants and finance professionals
• Ability to think strategically and provide financial insights to support business decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial issues proactively
• Knowledge of local statutory and regulatory requirements related to accounting and finance
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
• Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
