Job Description
Role : Head Human Resources
Head - HR is responsible for setting up the HR function. The role will work closely with the senior management to develop implement policies and strategies related to human resources.
Responsibilities
HR Policies and procedures
• Adequate knowledge of the current laws specific to HR policies / Labour rules.
• Abreast of the current trends in HR, learning tools and ability to implement them.
• Manage the recruitment, selection, induction and orientation for all new employees at the organization
• Onboard the employees with appropriate paper work, documentation and background/ reference checks
• Ensure the organization structure is reviewed and designations are aligned. Write out JDs for each role in the organization before the role is added to the structure
• Ensure people policies (leave policy, prevention of ****** harassment policy, DEI, etc.) are captured online/ in a handbook and available to all employees
• Design the HR policies that will reflect the values of the organization and support the growth of the organization
• Ensure systems and processes are set up to enable performance management, payroll, compensation benchmarking, promotions and succession planning
• Ensure statutory compliance is adhered to and all documentation is maintained for internal and external audits
• Help the line managers / CEO in undertaking reviews; appraisals, setting up OKRs at regular and agreed upon time intervals.
• Help Identify Potential candidates for mentoring and coaching and inform Line Managers / CEO's accordingly for future action.
• Enable learning and capacity building opportunities for employees in the organization through a robust LD Calendar for the team.
• Maintain database, generate reports on key people metrics and share with internal stakeholders/ board of directors
• Build capacity of program teams and NGOs around people development and people policies
Experience
• Overall experience of at least 12-20 years
• At least 6 years as Manager HR is a small/ mid-sized organization
• Adequate knowledge of the current laws specific to HR policies / Labour rules
Education
Post-Graduation in HR / MBA - HR from a reputed institution
