The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) is an independent administrative tribunal that oversees and enforces Ontario's access to information and privacy legislation, including the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), and the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA). Through its oversight, adjudication, and advisory functions, the IPC plays a critical role in promoting transparency, accountability, and the protection of privacy rights for Ontarians.
