Job Description
TruNatív, a leading nutrition startup, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Head to join our dynamic team. As the Finance Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire finance function of the organization. This role requires prior experience in consumer startups, fundraising, MIS (Management Information Systems), accounts receivable, and a strong background in finance.
Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
Collaborate with the executive team to identify opportunities for growth and drive financial performance.
Fundraising and Investor Relations:
Lead fundraising efforts by preparing financial projections, investor presentations, and due diligence materials.
Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
Financial Management and Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the management team and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Cash Flow Management:
Develop and implement effective cash flow management strategies.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and growth.
Accounts Receivable and Payable:
Manage the accounts receivable function, including credit management, invoicing, and collections.
Oversee accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
Financial Operations:
Streamline financial processes and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CA degree or MBA is preferred.
Proven experience 5 + as a Finance Head or a similar leadership role in a consumer startup environment.
Strong understanding of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
Demonstrated experience in fundraising, investor relations, and successful capital raising activities.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow.
Excellent knowledge of MIS, financial software, and advanced MS Excel skills.
Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
