Head of Finance and Accounting - Delhi
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial operations and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will bring robust financial expertise, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience managing accounting teams, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in financial processes. This role is pivotal in supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining the financial health of the organization.

Location: Delhi, India
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
• Oversee end-to-end accounting, finance, and reporting functions.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8–10 finance professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Present financial data with insightful analysis to senior leadership.
• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions for variances.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Lead the bottom-up annual budgeting and planning process.
• Conduct monthly forecasts to align with business performance and changing market conditions.
• Administer and review financial plans, comparing projections with actuals.
Cash Flow & Banking Operations:
• Manage cash flow forecasting in collaboration with business teams.
• Liaise with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions for funding, treasury, and operationalrequirements.
• Oversee banking operations and ensure smooth processing of payments.
Compliance & Controls:
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, and others.
• Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets and revenue.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audits.
Payroll & Accounts Oversight:
• Review and approve monthly payroll.
• Supervise accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and other core accounting functions.
Strategic Support:
• Support the CFO in board meetings and strategic financial discussions.
• Prepare dashboards and reports highlighting trends in financial operations and delivery models.
Role Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
• Proven leadership experience, preferably with prior team management.
• Strong manufacturing industry experience preferred; fintech exposure is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with audit coordination, financial planning & analysis, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in financial systems, ERP tools, and advanced MS Excel.
• Deep understanding of Indian tax laws, corporate law, and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Education:
• CA / CMA professional degree.
• Prior Experience in a fintech or financial services organization is a strong plus.
• Exposure to digital financial tools and automation is an added benefit.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive and based on experience.
