We are hiring Head of Financ e for a thermal solutions company.
Location : Chennai
Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the co founders to drive the company's financial performance and growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making processes.
Collaborate with executive team members to develop long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and forecasts.
2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial reports, including MIS, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and interpret financial performance indicators, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to optimize profitability.
3. Financial Operations and Controls:
Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage and optimize the company's cash flow, working capital, and risk management strategies.
Ensure accurate and efficient financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and financial systems.
4. Treasury and Capital Management:
Develop and execute strategies to maximize cash utilization, optimize working capital, and minimize financial risk.
Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders to secure funding, negotiate favorable terms, and assess investment opportunities.
Oversee capital expenditure planning and evaluation, including ROI analysis and budget allocation.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Set performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and effective communication within the finance team and across departments.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant
Extensive experience (+7 years) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with a proven track record of success.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executives, board members, and external stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
