Job Title: Head of Human Resources
Location: Bengaluru
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer.
Role Summary: Build and develops the human resource function for a F&B company as a young, HR leader. This will extend beyond talent attraction to talent development and retention for the company’s corporate and blue-collar employees. The role will also entail setting up HR systems and processes around critical activities like performance appraisals, employee skill development programs manager-employee feedback loop, payroll, and C&B, include industrial relations. This role will be hands-on in nature and will be required to build an energetic and skilled HR team. It will report directly into the Chief Executive Officer and engage with other Head of Functions like Finance, Sales & Marketing and Operations on strategic issues.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive Strategic HR Decisions - Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to talent acquisition, talent development and organization planning.
• Building the HR function – Instituting new systems and processes, building out the HR team in time
• Provide HR Leadership – Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff. will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
• Involved in Core HR activities – Performance Management, Learning & Development, Overseeing payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations (Corporate & Plant)/ Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Organizational Compliance - Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance. / Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Required Education, Experience, Skills/Abilities
• 10-12+ years of experience in Human Resources, of which at least 3-5 years are in an independent HR leader role in a mid-sized food, beverage or FMCG company
• A combination of experience with big F&B brands and start-up/ mid-sized F&B or FMCG companies that have scaled would be ideal
• Must have the mindset, drive, and wherewithal to be hands-on in this role as the organization scale
• Must possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think outside-the-box for solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with senior
