Description

Do you love helping people to grow and achieve great things in their work? Are you prepared to lead from the front and ‘roll your sleeves up’? Do you want to ‘give back’ by working in an organisation that makes a difference in people’s lives every single day?

Then come and join our growing and progressive NFP.

It is an exciting time to be joining Hume! At Hume, we are in the business of building and managing homes and creating vibrant communities where our customers can thrive and prosper. To do this, we need a team of dedicated professionals who are inspired by our social purpose, keen to develop their skills in a growing and innovative organization and thrive in a culture where they can do their best work.

Do you want to make a difference?

As the Head of People and Culture at Hume, sitting on the Executive Team and reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our progressive people and culture strategy. Early implementation has already driven significant outcomes, including below market attrition levels and above market engagement levels. Your role will be to consolidate this early success and take Hume’s P&C policy, practice, and process to the next level.

This will require you to be a role model people and thought leader, a skilled stakeholder manager/influencer/business partner, and above all else, a “do-er” who can turn our strategic vision into on-the-ground reality.

What do we need from you?

To be considered for this great opportunity to join the Hume team, you will need:

Police Check
Minimum 8 years of experience working in the P&C field
A proven track record in P&C leadership, with at least 3 years leading a P&C team
Sound technical knowledge of all facets of modern People and Culture practice
Proven ability to influence Boards and executive teams
Energy, resilience, and passion – in spades!

What’s in it for you?

In addition to the opportunity to grow your career in a growing not-for-profit, Hume also offers:

Tax advantages of working for an NFP
Highly flexible work practices
3-days gifted leave over Christmas holiday
1 day Wellbeing leave
