We are searching for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to join our Business Experience team at Snap.
What You'll Do:
• Design and develop systems that enhance advertiser experiences and improve our creator ads platform.
• Establish the vision and strategic direction for our next-generation infrastructure, with an emphasis on scalability and performance, maximizing advertiser value.
• Innovate and create new advertiser journeys and marketplace products by analyzing market trends and understanding user behavior.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product management, design, data science, and other engineering teams to deliver impactful and seamless solutions.
• Champion and enforce high standards for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, fostering a culture of technical proficiency and continuous learning within the team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Extensive experience in building and scaling advertiser or creator platforms or similar systems.
• Exceptional programming and software design capabilities, including proficiency in debugging, performance assessment, and test design.
• Proven experience operating highly-available systems at scale.
• Possess a proactive approach to learning new concepts and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, navigating ambiguity with ease.
• Collaborative mindset with demonstrated mentorship abilities.
• Experience in the advertising domain is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics; or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience; or a Master's degree in a technical field and 9+ years of post-grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related field and 6+ years of post-grad software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role or as a domain expert.
• Experience leading technical direction and ownership of engineering projects.
• Experience in architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cross-platform development.
• Ability to excel in product quality and collaboration, managing multiple concurrent engineering projects.
• Strong vision and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.

Head of Systems Engineering
At InnoForge, we partner with a select group of high-growth Space and DeepTech companies.
We’re currently supporting a business entering a critical phase, moving from focused payload development into full system-level delivery. As a result, they’re looking to hire a Head of Systems Engineering to operate at Chief Engineer level, acting as the technical backbone of the organisation.
The Role
You’ll act as the technical authority across the system, ensuring engineering execution, integration and decision-making stay aligned as the programme scales.
• Own system-level technical decisions across architecture, requirements and design maturity
• Drive integration across mechanical, electrical, software, GNC and payload systems
• Support progression from prototype through qualification and mission readiness
• Lead technical reviews, trade-offs and risk-based decisions
• Work closely with leadership, engineering teams and external partners
What They’re Looking For
• 8+ years’ experience across spacecraft or satellite systems
• Strong systems engineering background on mission-critical hardware programmes
• Experience across design, integration, test and delivery
• Technical grounding (mechanical, electrical, GNC, software etc.) with system-level ownership
