The role is at the forefront of change and will play a critical role in leading the delivery of talent acquisition activity in support of business transformation agendas across the organisation. The role leads the regional recruiting team, partnering with leaders to source, engage, attract and hire Regional talent, evolving the organization to be fit for the future.

The individual will lead a bp and 3rd party recruitment team supporting the range of bp’s businesses operating within India spanning both established businesses and growth businesses as well as businesses transitioning activity to our Global Capability Hubs.

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary Head of Talent Acquisition for India to lead our talent strategies in one of our most critical markets. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our workforce, ensuring we attract, engage, and retain world-class talent in alignment with our global and local goals.

Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies for India that align with the global talent vision and local market needs. Ensure our talent strategy supports the company's growth across various entities, industries, and geographies.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI initiatives in hiring to ensure we attract diverse talent that enhances innovation and drives a culture of inclusion. Build recruitment pipelines that promote gender balance, differently-abled individuals, and underrepresented groups.
• End-to-End Recruitment: Lead a team responsible for full-cycle recruitment – from job design, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, to ensuring exceptional candidate experiences across all business units in India.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, HR business partners, and department heads across various entities to identify talent needs, develop workforce plans, and implement proactive recruitment solutions.
• Employer Branding: Elevate the company's employer brand across India, ensuring we are recognized as an employer of choice for diverse talent. Build strong partnerships with universities, professional organizations, and industry forums.
• Innovation in Talent Acquisition: Leverage data-driven insights, recruitment technologies, and innovative sourcing methods to stay ahead of talent trends. Ensure our processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices in talent acquisition.
• Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing talent acquisition team. Ensure they are equipped with the tools, training, and support needed to drive recruitment efforts across a complex, multi-entity business structure.
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with global counterparts to align local strategies with global talent initiatives, sharing best practices, and contributing to international projects.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Proven experience (minimum of 15+ years) leading talent acquisition in complex, multi-entity, and global organizations, preferably in India.
• Strong understanding of talent dynamics within India, including experience in multiple industries or sectors (technology, services, manufacturing, etc.).
• Demonstrated success in driving diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
• Expertise in leveraging recruitment technology, data analytics, and innovative sourcing strategies to meet talent goals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in employer branding, market intelligence, and building strategic partnerships.
• Ability to think both strategically and operationally, balancing long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
