Job Description
We're seeking a results-oriented and strategic Manufacturing Operations Director to join our team and lead our operations to new heights.
In this critical leadership role, you'll assume complete ownership of our plant operations, overseeing everything from production planning and resource allocation to driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Your strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring we meet customer demands, exceed performance targets, and achieve operational excellence across the board.
What You'll Do:
- Operations Maestro: Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, adherence to schedules, and cost-effectiveness.
- Strategic Visionary: Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and alignment with company goals.
- Quality Champion: Champion quality initiatives, overseeing customer complaint resolution and collaborating with the quality team to maintain high standards.
- Continuous Improvement Catalyst: Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization, implementing lean manufacturing principles and benchmarking world-class systems.
- Supply Chain Guru: Review production and supplier planning, ensuring inventory levels meet customer demand and fostering strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Process & Innovation Champion: Participate in process design, tool/fixture design, and material flow engineering, while driving innovation and technology adoption to improve efficiency.
- People Leader & Mentor: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Expert: Ensure alignment between departments (HR, Finance, Marketing) to achieve company objectives and create a seamless operating environment.
- Project Management Pro: Oversee the planning and execution of major projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Financial Acumen: Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to optimize resource allocation.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, identify trends, and drive improvement initiatives.
Who We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within manufacturing operations.
- Proven track record of successfully optimizing operations, driving continuous improvement, and achieving performance targets.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality management practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
