Position: Head designer / Senior Fashion Designer (Women’s Western Wear)
Experience: 6–10 years (must have strong background in women’s western apparel)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly creative and trend-driven Head designer/ Senior Designer with deep expertise in women’s western wear. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in designing tops, dresses, co-ord sets, denims, party wear, and occasion-driven western collections. Strong understanding of silhouettes, patterns, fabrics, prints, and market trends is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Create full seasonal collections for women’s western wear (SS/AW).
• Develop innovative silhouettes, mood boards, color palettes, and fabric stories.
• Strong ability to design prints, graphics, placements, and artworks suitable for western trends.
• Work closely with the sampling team to convert ideas into production-ready garments.
• Ensure perfect fit, construction, and finishing for all designs.
• Conduct trend research from global fashion sites, runways, and market references.
• Collaborate with buying/merchandising teams for range planning.
• Manage design process from concept → sampling → final approval.
• Ensure brand identity, freshness, and commercial viability.
• Mentor junior designers and support cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 6–10 years of solid experience specifically in women’s western wear design.
• Strong portfolio in tops, dresses, co-ords, casual wear & party wear.
• Excellent command over design software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO/3D (optional), CorelDRAW.
• Deep understanding of fabrics, trims, surface techniques, and production processes.
• Strong visualization, sketching, and mood board development skills.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial product thinking.
• Strong communication, presentation, and trend-forecasting ability.
Preferred Background
• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design from NIFT, NID, Pearl, or equivalent institutes.
• Experience working with mid-to-premium western wear brands.
• Strong knowledge of Indian retail audience + global western trends.
