Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Co-teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
Assist co- teachers in designing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate Early Head Start/Head Start Standards, literacy activities, math concepts, and physical education to foster holistic development.
Support classroom management by engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote positive behavior and social-emotional growth.
Facilitate small group and one-on-one sessions to reinforce learning objectives across learning domains
Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among children.
Implement early intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs, especially for children requiring special education or additional support.
Conduct assessments 4 times a year to monitor developmental progress
Understand and implement Assist Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers,& Twos and Creative Curriculum for Preschool.
Support children’s physical activities and promote healthy routines related to childcare and daycare best practices.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior management strategies, and classroom activities.
Collaborate with team members to plan events, classroom activities, and educational outings that enhance learning experiences.
Qualifications
CDA in Infant Toddler or CDA Preschool or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention techniques, and special education practices.
Proficiency in curriculum development across multiple subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
Experience with lesson planning tailored for diverse learners including toddlers and preschoolers.
Familiarity with Creative Curriculum, TS GOLD, and Developmental Screenings
Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs while maintaining a structured classroom routine.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques that promote respectful interactions and social-emotional growth.

Pay: $19.25 - $22.00 per hour
