We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in both home care and care home settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in following their care plans and achieving their health goals.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients to appointments if required.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
A good understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is beneficial.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
Experience in home care or within a care home setting is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred for those who may need to transport patients.
