About the role:
As the demand for services continually increases within primary healthcare the Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) is a valuable resource within our general practice teams. HIP’s help our patients learn to manage their own mental and physical health and wellbeing and link people to community support when needed.
We are inviting expressions of interest from registered health practitioners who are interested in joining our multi-disciplinary teams within The Doctors primary healthcare practices across the Auckland region.
This is an exciting opportunity to play your part in early intervention and engage with patients who require additional support as early as possible in a primary care setting. All successful applicants will participate in specialised training and receive ongoing professional support and monthly supervision.

What are we looking for from you?
You will be a New Zealand registered health practitioner who holds FULL registration e.g. social worker, occupational therapist, psychologist or a counsellor
Previous experience in providing talking therapies such as ACT, FACT or CBT
