About your role
As a Health Information Officer, you will provide advanced health information expertise, supporting clinical data quality, documentation standards and Activity Based Funding across Logan and Beaudesert Health Services.
In this role, you will:
Lead and support mandatory data collections, reporting and timely submission of activity data
Investigate and resolve complex data discrepancies across clinical and corporate information systems
Design, develop and maintain clinical documentation in line with AS2828 standards and Metro South Health guidelines
Conduct quality audits, prepare reports and present findings with clear recommendations
Support Activity Based Funding (ABF) through expert knowledge of funding models, coding matters and clinical constraints
About you
You are an experienced health information professional who brings strong judgement, technical expertise and a collaborative approach.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience in health information management, clinical data quality or records management
High-level communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused and respectful approach
High-level technical capability (or ability to quickly develop) in:
ieMR, HBCIS and related health information systems
Microsoft Office and reporting tools
A qualification in Health Information Management is well regarded

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
