This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Part Time and Casual appointments at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 2+/01/2027.
Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
Position Profile: The service provides a Health Promotion Officer for both Katanning and Albany: one works in the region south of Cranbrook, while the other works in the region north of and including Tenterden.
Each officer is responsible for assisting with the planning, implementation and evaluation of Aboriginal Health programs and events in their region. Each officer works with all team members and communities in their region, including Aboriginal health, clinical and other program staff.
Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area.
