About the role
This is a vibrant and dynamic ward that meets the needs of patients presenting with a full range of acute medical conditions. We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on customer service, and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork.
This role will see you primarily focusing your attention on the overall needs of the unit. This role is within a clinical environment, and as an exceptional team player, you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses on the ward, whilst having a helpful and team-focused approach to making a real difference to the patients under our care.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be involved in:
supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
patient supervision and/or movement
patient cares, as required
stock reconciliation
ward maintenance
patient watch, with one-on-one care as required
Shifts are based on a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday. Hours can be across all shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Health Care Assistant Pay Scale, between $60,100 and $70,358 p.a pro-rata depending on relevant experience.
