About the role: As a key member of the Permits and Licensing team, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced Senior Regulatory Officers in supporting the assessment of permit applications and notifications for the Health Regulator branch. This includes over 40,000 Schedule 8 treatment permit applications and notifications annually, Schedule + permit applications for clinical trials, Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) permit applications and human tissue permit applications. Your team will also provide education to prescribers on the use of SafeScript and safer prescribing of drugs of dependence.
The role involves ensuring that the team regulates in a way that is consistent with good regulatory practice and policies. You will manage the VAD permit application approval process, ensuring all application outcomes are determined within the required timeframe. This position provides crucial support to the Manager, Permits and Licensing to achieve the objectives of the team.
