Job Description
DC Elevator is a part of American Elevator Group (AEG) company, a collection of well-established elevator service companies operating across the United States. Backed by Arcline Investment Management, AEG has a significant footprint in the elevator industry and is rapidly growing. Due to recent growth, we are looking for an experienced Route Mechanic to work in the Lexington, KY region.
In this role, you will be work under the instruction of Elevator Mechanics to assist with the sequence of operations and detailed steps to be taken, such as: having the proper tools and equipment at hand when needed; processing with own part of the work without requiring detailed instructions, etc.; clean machines, collect tools for job, obtain material, assist in mechanical operations, such as dismantling machines and reassembly, prepare babbit metal, replace cables, machine parts, etc.
• Ability to achieve an OSHA 10 certification within the first 6 months on the job.
• Strong mechanical ability and general knowledge of tools.
• Ability to work independently as needed and follow instructions.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Travel: Have the ability to work within the Lexington, KY Region.
• Must have a valid driver's license and elevator mechanic license.
