Job Description
Helper required for AC & TVKey Responsibilities:1. Assisting with AC Installation and Maintenance:
Assist senior technicians in the installation, servicing, and repair of air conditioning units, including window, split, and central systems.
Help with the assembly and installation of ductwork, AC units, and related equipment as per guidelines and technical specifications.
Provide support during routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, coils, and condenser units to ensure optimal AC performance.
Carry and manage tools, parts, and equipment required for AC installation and repair tasks.
Assist in diagnosing AC issues by conducting visual inspections, checking refrigerant levels, and troubleshooting basic problems.
2. Assisting with TV Installation and Setup:
Help with the installation of television sets, including wall mounting, cable routing, and ensuring proper setup with various accessories (e.g., sound systems, remotes).
Support in troubleshooting issues with TV displays, wiring, and remote control functions.
Assist technicians in calibrating TV settings for optimal picture and sound quality according to manufacturer specifications.
Help with setting up entertainment systems and ensuring proper connection with other devices like cable boxes, streaming devices, or audio systems.
3. Transporting and Handling Equipment:
Transport AC units, TVs, and tools to and from job sites, ensuring safe handling and minimizing the risk of damage during transport.
Ensure that all equipment and materials are properly stored and organized in the service vehicle.
Keep the workspace clean and organized, maintaining equipment and tools in good working condition.
4. Customer Support and Interaction:
Assist in providing a positive customer experience by being courteous and professional when interacting with clients.
Communicate basic instructions to clients about the proper use of installed AC systems or TV setups.
Report any client concerns or requests to the senior technician for further action.
5. Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols during all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required (e.g., gloves, goggles, masks).
Adhere to company guidelines and local codes for electrical installations and AC systems.
6. Additional Responsibilities:
Support in keeping service records and logs of completed jobs, including details of work done, parts replaced, and maintenance schedules.
Assist with the inventory management of parts, tools, and materials used for installations and repairs.
Learn from senior technicians to gain hands-on experience with complex repairs and maintenance tasks, aiming for potential promotion to technician roles.
