Job description
Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Tech Pack Creation: Assist in the development and updating of tech packs, ensuring all technical details such as garment measurements, fabrics, trims, stitching details, and construction methods are accurately documented.
Design Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct research on current fashion trends, fabrics, color schemes, and styles to support the design team in creating new collections. This may include mood board creation and fabric sourcing.
Sample Review & Feedback: Participate in reviewing sample garments, helping identify any design or construction issues. Provide feedback to manufacturers and assist with communication to ensure product samples match the initial design concepts.
Administrative Support: Assist the design team with day-to-day administrative tasks, such as organizing design files, managing deadlines, communicating with suppliers, and tracking orders and inventory.

Our team is seeking a skilled Fashion Designer to support our pre-production processes in Jaipur, India. This part-time contract focuses on creativity, precision, and market relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design high-quality women's clothing that meets brand aesthetics.
• Collaborate with product development and production teams to ensure cohesive designs.
• Develop sketches, technical drawings, and design prototypes for upcoming collections.
• Conduct market research to understand US market trends, colors, fabrics, and styles.
• Lead sampling process, including prototype and sample development, to meet quality, fit standards, and brand aesthetics.
• Oversee fabric selection, sourcing, and sampling to meet design objectives and production standards.
• Provide creative input during fitting sessions to ensure final product aligns with design intent.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the pre-production process.
• Evaluate sustainability practices in the design and production process.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven experience designing apparel for the US market or European and Australian markets.
• Creativity and passion for designing perfect pieces of clothing.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent design tools.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and technologies.
• Passion for sustainability.
• Based in Jaipur, India, or willing to commute regularly.
• Education: Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Bonus: Skilled in photography and content creation.
