Job Details

Maaqtusiis Secondary School in Ahousaht is looking for a High School Science teacher to join our team in a village on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island. As our school moves to the next level, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates who:

are certified to teach in BC
can teach Science 8-10
believes that all students can learn to high levels
are energetic and optimistic and can bring new course options to our school
are student- and learning-focused in an action/solution-oriented school
are ready and able to work with and differentiate for students of different ability levels in the same classroom
are flexible and adaptable in meeting student's needs
have some knowledge of Ahousaht Culture
recognizes the importance of building relationships in improving learning
preferably has classroom experience
Salary is based on SD70 Pay grid
