Job description: Position: Delivery Driver
Location: Mesquite, TX
• Offering Sign-On Bonus
Summary:
Communicate and coordinate comprehensive logistical functions for outbound delivery. Responsible for residential and commercial small package delivery. Required classroom training on best strategies for optimal delivery performance. Review procedures in areas such as planned logistics and delivery processes. Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels or maintain efficiency. Drivers perform delivery activities in a safe and efficient manner. Working hours + am - 7 pm.
Responsibilities:
• Positions available Monday-Sunday
• Able to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to operate handheld scanning device.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
• Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
Qualifications
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
