Salary relative to experience and ranges from $61,736 to $72,582 + super

The role
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Open Spaces team as Turf Horticultural Labourer. Your role will involve a range of greenkeeping tasks, from edging pathways and garden beds to maintaining sports fields and turfed areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the construction and upkeep of beautiful horticultural displays.
Help conserve natural areas within our gardens.
Use and maintain horticultural machinery like brush cutters, push mowers, ride-on mowers, and leaf blowers.
Implement weed control and assist with the collection of propagation material.
Ensure all activities follow health and safety policies to protect staff and visitors.

What you will bring to the role
Experience in turf maintenance and general garden upkeep.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
Ability to use and maintain horticultural equipment
A hands-on attitude, reliability, and a willingness to pitch in and get the job done as part of a supportive team.

What is an essential requirement:
Current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry a minimum 15 kilos.
Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
