Job Description
The Hotel Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing accounting support to the hotel by ensuring all revenues are posted to the correct department and balancing the guest ledger on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have six months of Front Office experience in a hotel environment and prior experience performing basic accounting duties.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions;
Provide reportsto management about asset utilization and auditresults;
Work proactively torecommend changes in operations and financialactivities;
Effectively utilize excel, workbooks, and access to submit reports to corporate office asappropriate;
Familiarity with computer systems and software applications;
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment;
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience;
Valid state driver's license and adherence to company guidelines regarding moving violations (if role involves operating company vehicle).
