We are currently looking for a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Staff Member to ensure our hotel's appearance and systems are well maintained. If you possess a knack for fixing problems, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily maintenance of hotel rooms, ensuring all fixtures, furniture, and features are in excellent condition.
- Maintain the swimming pool, including regular cleaning, chemical testing, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the upkeep of the hotel's exterior and grounds, including landscaping, pathways, and outdoor facilities, to ensure a pleasant guest experience.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent issues, providing timely and efficient repair solutions.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to address and resolve guest concerns related to facilities.
- Stay updated on compliance with all local/municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations related to facilities maintenance and safety standards.
Recommended Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) is a plus.
- Previous experience in hotel or building maintenance is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as common repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Effective communication skills, with proficiency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
