Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections, repairs, and maintenance across a range of hotel systems and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with a team or independently, always adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure that the building, guest rooms, and common areas are kept in optimum condition.
• Organize repair projects carefully to minimize any disruption to guests.
• Plan and oversee any renovations and construction projects.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, such as power outages.
• Identify, report, and rectify potential safety hazards (e.g., broken doors, fire risks) while notifying supervisors of damages or disturbances.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet, and tile maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out painting, minor roof repairs, and other external projects as assigned.
• Maintain and repair exercise room and equipment, if necessary.
• Participate actively in preventative maintenance initiatives.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Housekeeping Director to identify and execute all technical and skilled projects.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers effectively.
• Maintain budgets, document expenses, and keep activity logs updated.
• Report to the hotel during inclement weather for maintenance tasks such as snow removal and ice treatment.
• The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, and frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on guest occupancy, seasonality, staffing, and other considerations.
