POSITION SUMMARY
Do you have two years of experience leading the way in a restaurant setting? Join our dynamic Hotel Restaurant Management Team! The Cabin is located within the Steamboat Grand Hotel and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The Steamboat Grand has an engaging staff that serves thousands of visitors each season. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist department manager with supervision of front of house staff
Be accountable for labor and cost of goods.
Assist with monthly inventory
Assist employees with overall food preparation and customer service
Provide on the job training
Assist with management of daily operations
Perform scheduling duties and guest relations
Oversee building safety issues, ie: Food safety program, snow clearing, hazmat, repairs and maintenance
Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties, as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of previous work history/education required
High School Diploma or GED
Two years full service restaurant experience in a supervisory role, preferred
Must possess good organizational, interpersonal problem-solving leadership and team building skills
Adhere to all safety policies
Must have a valid driver's license
Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers.
Be a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence standards
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat area base salary range: $56,485 - $58,485 per year
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
Stand for long periods of time and climb stairs frequently
