Our business is a small team who values their staff. We are looking for a Housekeeper / Room Attendant to join our hotel team in South Brisbane.
We are looking for a professional room attendant that enjoys engaging with guests, has previous experience in the hotel industry and enjoys a small team environment.
Job Description
In this role you will:
Clean guest rooms and common areas. Be competent in making beds and general cleaning in a timely manner.
Restock cleaning supplies and linen.
Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
Assist with regular equipment stocktaking and inventory items.
Report any lost property following correct procedures.
Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
Be able to work independently, with a happy persona.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience in similar roles within a Hotel environment.
A high standard of hygiene, grooming and presentation.
Attention to detail when cleaning.
Communication skills with fluency in English is preferred
Flexibility regarding your work availability is essential, as we operate 7 days a week, including public holidays.
Our hotel is looking to expand our team of housekeepers. Shifts start at 8am, 7 days a week and finish when the jobs are complete, hours are generally 4 to 8 hours dependent on the workload on the day. We are looking for someone to work 3-4 shifts a week. Pay is commensurate with the hospitality award. Parking available onsite and the hotel is close to Mater Hill Bus Station and South Bank train station if travelling to work via public transport.
