Muses Consulting Studio is the premier marketplace for student services, facilitating partnerships between student groups and companies. Our past expertise ranges from content creation, marketing- campaigns, campus ambassadorship, and product development to data engineering, software development, user testing, market research, and analytics.
Muses has a history of successful collaborations with industry leaders such as Amazon Studios, Warner Brothers, McDonald's, and Doordash, as well as numerous innovative startups, many of which boast backing from prestigious accelerators like Y Combinator (YC) and Techstars.
We're on the hunt for someone who understands what makes the youth, the Muses of the future, and the clients that can partner with them, tick. Think of somebody caffeinated and wide-eyed who is ready to work VERY hard.
Role Overview:
As the HR and Student Relations Associate, you will manage relationships with students, student organizations, and influencers while ensuring the smooth onboarding of talent for various student-led projects. You will develop strategic partnerships with student organizations and create a cohort of student founders who will build Muses clubs at their universities. Additionally, you will be responsible for core HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management, as well as managing influencer outreach, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Relations and Partnerships:
• Proactively reach out to students and student organizations to build relationships and onboard them for campus activations, ambassador programs, and project-based opportunities.
• Ensure smooth transitions as student organization leadership changes each semester, maintaining institutional knowledge and fostering continuity.
Building a Cohort of Student Founders (Muses Clubs):
• Identify and recruit highly motivated student leaders to become founders of Muses clubs at their respective universities.
• Support student founders in establishing and managing their Muses clubs, which will serve as on-campus hubs for marketing, content creation, and event activation.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and resources to student founders, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to grow their clubs and promote Muses Consulting Studio’s vision.
• Track and support the progress of Muses clubs, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s goals and are contributing to overall brand awareness and student engagement.
Influencer Identification, Outreach, and Management:
• Identify potential influencers, including micro- and macro-influencers, across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, who align with Muses’ brand and project needs.
• Reach out to influencers to propose partnerships and negotiate collaboration terms, ensuring they meet project goals and timelines.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with influencers, managing the terms of their involvement, deliverables, compensation, and exclusivity agreements.
• Maintain strong relationships with influencers, ensuring a continuous pipeline of talent for future campaigns.
HR Responsibilities:
• Lead recruitment efforts for internal team roles, student ambassadors, influencers, and project-based contractors, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations, mediating conflicts and ensuring a positive work environment.
• Oversee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive packages and smooth coordination of payroll and benefits.
• Develop and implement employee performance management systems, including regular reviews, performance tracking, and improvement plans.
• Coordinate and execute learning and development programs, identifying opportunities for employee growth and organizing training sessions.
• Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR-related documentation, including contracts and payroll.
• Ensure seamless transitions with succession planning and retention strategies to keep key roles filled.
• Implement and maintain HR systems for recruitment, performance management, and other operations.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in HR, influencer management, student relations, campus outreach, or partnership management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, influencers, and organizations.
• Experience with managing student organizations, campus ambassador programs, or influencer campaigns is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes, contract negotiations, and performance management.
• Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze performance and engagement metrics to improve processes.
• Ability to mentor and inspire student leaders and influencers to build and grow their roles within Muses Consulting Studio.
Note: Please note that this position requires availability primarily during EST and PST hours, which falls in the timeframe of 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM IST. We request that only candidates who can work within these specified hours apply. This role is entirely remote.
