Job Description
• Recruitment and Onboarding: Assisting with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. You may also be responsible for new employee onboarding, which includes completing paperwork, creating employee profiles, and providing orientation and training.
• Employee Records: Maintaining employee records by updating and organizing employee files, tracking employee attendance, and managing employee benefits.
• HR Operations: Assisting with various HR operations, such as managing employee payroll and benefits, coordinating employee events, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
• Communication: Providing support for internal communication by drafting and editing employee communications, creating HR-related presentations, and coordinating employee newsletters.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations, such as equal employment opportunity laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
• Employee Relations: Assisting with employee relations issues, such as addressing employee concerns and complaints, conducting employee surveys, and providing feedback to management.
• HR Reporting: Creating and analyzing HR reports, such as employee turnover rates, absenteeism rates, and diversity and inclusion metrics.
Overall, an HR Assistant plays a critical role in the smooth operation of the HR department and supports the organization in attracting and retaining top talent.
