Job Description
Responsibilities
• Partners with the Business Head, Leadership Team, Corporate HR to formulate the HR strategy in line with the Business strategy.
• Work closely with business leadership to implement strategic initiatives.
• Analyze trends, metrics, best practices along with the Corporate HR to develop solutions, programs and policies for Business.
• Support HR COE in the operational conversion of the strategic goals.
• Proactively build and establish relationship with manager's and employees to understand their needs and requirements and challenges.
• Conduct ongoing supply and demand analysis on current and future staffing needs and accordingly work with the corporate HR team to execute tactical workforce planning in alignment with the business plan.
• Undertake day to day HR operations and responsibilities (recruitment coordination, strategic manpower planning, grievance handling, promotions, transfers, industrial relations, regulatory/statutory compliance etc.).
• Drive key priorities defined in conjunction with the BU head to support the business (employee engagement initiatives, transfer, coaching needs for employees etc.).
• Drive strategic HR projects designed centrally in their BUs in close coordination with the central HR team (PMS implementation, training exercise, budget optimization).
• Implement HR solutions/ initiatives/ policies in the operations Business Unit.
• Maintain and update job descriptions and skill/ competency dictionaries for operations BU Co facilitate the New Employee Induction program for new hires to ensure smooth onboarding and employee engagement
• Provide administrative/process support in talent management activities.
• Collaborate with Centers of Expertise to create innovative HR solutions and policies for the operations BU.
• Provide feedback to Centers of Expertise about HR solution effectiveness Ensure analysis of skill/ competency gaps (annually) to contribute towards development of training calendars Serve as a single point for all HR queries/ concerns of contact for employees in the BU
• Extend required support towards HR activities (Recruitment, PMS, HRIS, Training etc.) from line managers Advise line managers on effective performance management and resourcing decisions; drive OTR, succession planning and talent management for predefined population, in close cooperation with the respective Talent Management expert(s).
• Support internal communication, especially around HR-sensitive issues(values, advancement, motivation etc.).
• Provides day to day coaching to leadership on variety of actions including policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, organizational design consultations etc.
• Support line managers in all coaching, mentoring and personal development aspects within their teams.
• Ensure that employee manuals and other HR information is circulated to the business unit.
Desirables:
• MBA in HR from reputed B-school
• 15-20 years into HR partnering experience. Preferably chemical/ FMCG industry
• Strong organization, communication, relationship management and conflict resolution skills
• Strong analytical skills and tech savvy
