About the Role
As an Human Resources Business Partner at Discovery Parks, you will build trusting relationships with leaders, employees and colleagues to provide HR expertise, advice and coaching on all staff matters.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Provide expert advice on employment terms, conditions, and legislative obligations, guiding managers on due process for performance management, and supporting compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Support and influence managers in addressing performance management, organisational change, and employee relations matters, fostering a positive working environment and resolving conflicts.
Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to HR policies and processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational efficiency.
Partner with various P&C departments to address business unit issues, contribute to employee engagement initiatives, and support wellness, diversity, and inclusion programs.
Research, analyse, and report on employment-related data, providing insights and recommendations to improve key employee metrics and reduce turnover.
Facilitate training related to people policies and practices, award interpretation etc
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will possess tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, with experience in a similar generalist human resources role, preferably in the tourism, hospitality or retail sectors.
Other key attributes will include:
Strong knowledge of Fair Work and industrial relations including Award interpretation
Effective coaching, relationship building, and stakeholder management experience
Ability to partner with business stakeholders to create high performing teams
Passion to analyse data to inform practice change
Ability to facilitate workshops relating to people policies, changes to industrial relations etc
Interest in diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs of work
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders to enact meaningful change
High attention to detail and passion for delivering high quality work
Proven ability to work at pace, multi-task and meet deadlines
Previous exposure to organisational development, performance management, succession planning and remuneration processes
Experience providing advice on human resource related policies and procedures within a government or compliance-focused environment
