Responsibilities
This position shares responsibility for the goals and targets for the HR department
Lead day to day planning and execution of various HR programs, practices, and procedures; including but not limited to salary administration, benefits, performance management and organizational development
Work closely with plant management on strategy and execution of employee engagement, team effectiveness, performance management, career development, compensation review and staffing needs
Deliver critical HR services in an efficient and effective manner that reduces risk to the organization and contributes to optimizing human capital
Provide guidance and input on organizational design, role design, workforce planning and succession planning
Apply subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex HR issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Objectively manage, investigate, and resolve employee/labor relations issues
Partner with managers to provide guidance and appropriate level of advocacy (e.g. coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions)
Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems
Ensures compliance with existing state and federal employment laws
Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, labor relations and human resources
Conduct exit interviews to gain insight on turnover and provide recommendations for retention
Assist with CBA interpretation, preparation of documents and records required for contract negotiations and meetings
Develops, recommends, and participates in the implementation of new programs, as well as enforces current policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of operations
Assists in managing complex HR Projects cross-functionally
Actively identifies gaps, proposes, and implement changes necessary to cover risks

Monument Chemical in Brandenburg, KY is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HR Business Partner.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for the implementation and operation of various Human Resources programs, practices and procedures related to compensation, benefits, performance management, talent acquisition, coaching/training, employee/labor relations and organizational development. This position shares responsibility for the goals and targets for the HR department.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field highly preferred or professional experience equivalent.
Experience/Skills
• Minimum 5-7 years HR Generalist experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
• Experience in a manufacturing and union environment highly preferred.
• Experience with collective bargaining, negotiations, and consultations with labor unions highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of all aspects of HR including benefits, recruiting, compensation, training, policies & procedures.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize time efficiently and effectively to complete projects and assignments timely.

• PeopleSoft and/or Workday experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional Human Resources certification preferred.
