Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Act as a direct confidant and advisor to the CEO on all people-related matters, organizational design, and scaling strategy.
Talent Acquisition: Own the full-cycle recruitment process. Identify, attract, and hire "A-players" in the Bangalore region, specifically for tech and operations roles.
Culture & Engagement: Design and implement remote-first engagement initiatives to ensure the team stays connected, motivated, and aligned with company values.
Performance Management: Implement lightweight but effective performance review cycles, OKRs, and feedback loops.
Compliance & Payroll: Oversee localized payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with Indian labor laws (EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, etc.) for a remote workforce.
Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, ensuring a healthy, transparent, and inclusive work environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Exceptional Communication: Mastery of English (written and verbal) is non-negotiable. You must be able to articulate complex ideas clearly to both the CEO and the broader team.
Startup DNA: 3–6 years of HR experience, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and "building the plane while flying it."
Remote Expertise: Proven experience managing or working within 100% remote teams. You understand the unique challenges of digital isolation and Zoom fatigue.
Local Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Bangalore talent landscape and local employment regulations.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern HRIS, ATS (like Lever or Greenhouse), and communication tools (Slack, Notion, Zoom).
What Success Looks Like
90 Days: You have streamlined the onboarding process and established a regular 1:1 cadence with all 30+ team members.
6 Months: You have successfully filled 3–5 key roles and introduced a structured performance management system that the team actually enjoys using.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
