About the Role:
Are you passionate about people and thrive in supporting large operational sites with your HR expertise? We are looking for a dedicated HR Consultant on a 12-month fixed term position working 3 days per week.
Our HR Consultants are the driving force behind our HR policies and processes, ensuring optimum efficiency and employee satisfaction.
As a key member of our HR team, you'll report directly to the HR Manager, serving as the bridge to enhance employee relations, behaviour mentoring, and management coaching. Your role will involve providing crucial HR and ER advice to the site leadership team while actively participating in project activities focused on employee engagement, succession planning, and corporate projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide HR support and advice on ethical and legislative compliance, performance management, compensation, and HR systems.
Review and implement Alcoa standards and processes, leading policy reviews and change management initiatives.
Stay updated on current and proposed legislation, advising and coaching senior management on employee relations matters.
Develop and deliver employee relations training across the organization, emphasizing proactive approaches.
Build trusted partnerships across all levels of our operations.

What you can bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
A background in site-based human resources roles.
Experience across employee relations and unionized environments
Heavy industry, or resources sector would be an advantage
Ability to deliver effective outcomes with a customer-centric mentality.
A track record of building trusted relationships at all levels of an organisation.
Please note the successful applicant will be required to work Fridays whilst the other 2 days are negotiable.
