Job Description
The HR systems lead is accountable for overseeing the operation of HR applications in a stable, secure, and cost-effective manner through strong working relationships with all stakeholders’ providers. The lead will be responsible for monitoring the planning, design, development, and deployment of applications and driving key application transformation/upgradation initiatives for the enterprise
Key Responsibilities
Applications strategy and vision:
Work with IT and business leads to develop an overall application strategy in the context of the business strategy and initiatives
Lead the HR transformation and migrate to Workday platform
Lead the visioning for management processes to ensure delivery of application services reliably, efficiently, and effectively
Lead the strategic planning and manage development of new services (incl. automation)
Manage setup and establishment of corporate applications function for the entity
Service delivery:
Oversee system software maintenance and support, for HR System, Migration from SAP SuccessFactors to Workday, integrations with home grown and other third-party systems
Manage service continuity including disaster recovery provisions and procedures
Lead BA-QA activities to gather and translate business requirements into systems specification and certify the software as ready for release
Monitor testing of new software programs and application services
Ensure timely project delivery based on scope, schedule, and budget
Manage application architecture documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
Review plan for the introduction of new releases/patches to meet service requirements
Review application product roadmaps, status reporting, metrics, and benchmarks
Review application performance reports and lead negotiations with vendors for scope of work
Review critical application related incidents, problems and known error closures, facilitate issues and escalations handling
Oversee the assessment of the technical and business fitment of the application portfolio and their associated costs and risks
Work with the Information Security lead to ensure that the organization's applications are effectively secured and that risks are mitigated
Operational management:
Lead and manage the application team to operate and support application services and database administration
Manage the operational relationship and oversee the performance of key application service providers and vendors
Periodically review inventory of software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts / agreements
Review training communication plans and documentation for end users
Track and facilitate resource hiring and onboarding
Person Specification
Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems. MBA HR is preferred
Experience
12-15 years
6-8 years’ experience in similar role (managing HR systems (support) function for a captive unit) would be preferred. Experience of managing Workday platform is preferable
Certification (Desired)
PMI-ACP, ICP, PMP, PRINCE, Workday
Functional Skills
Experience in running Workday HRMS transformation (implementation or upgrade program)
Proven experience in overseeing the development, and implementation of software solutions
Experience in leading a technical 15-20 member team
Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
Experience/knowledge of entire software lifecycle process
Experience setting up ongoing procedures for collection and review of project status and goals
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain system changes and functionality to all employees
Strong vendor and team management skills

Salary: Up to ₹1,800,000.00 per year
