Reports To:Head – HR
Experience Required: 1–5 years
Education: BBA/MBA in HR or equivalent | Knowledge of labor laws & payroll systems
Job Purpose:
To manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, contributing to accurate employee compensation and legal adherence.
Key Responsibilities:Payroll Management
Process monthly payroll in coordination with finance and HR teams.
Validate attendance, leaves, overtime, and other components impacting payroll.
Maintain payroll records, employee compensation, deductions, and reimbursements.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related queries.
Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and payslips.
Coordinate with external payroll vendors (if applicable).
Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements: PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and other applicable labor laws.
Prepare and submit statutory returns like ECR (EPF), ESIC returns, and professional tax filings.
Liaise with government departments for inspections, notices, or audits.
Keep abreast of changes in labor laws and ensure company compliance.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date employee records relevant to payroll and compliance.
Prepare reports for internal audits and management as required.
Assist in drafting and updating HR policies related to payroll and compliance.
Support HR Operations
Assist in onboarding, employee documentation, and exit formalities.
Coordinate with finance and HRBP teams for budget and audit requirements.
Respond to employee queries on salary, tax declarations, and deductions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in payroll software
Knowledge of statutory laws: EPF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Shops & Establishments Act, etc.
Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Accuracy, attention to detail, and deadline orientation
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Payroll/Statutory Compliance (added advantage)
Experience with HRMS systems
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
