Job Summary
The HR Statutory Compliance Executive is responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations. This role involves managing statutory filings, coordinating with government authorities, and maintaining accurate employee compliance records.
Position : HR Executive - Statutory Compliance
Location : St. Marks Road, Bangalore
Working Days : 6 Days
Experience : 2 – 5 years
CTC : 3 - 4 L PA
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Compliance & Payroll Support
• Ensure compliance with all statutory laws including:
• Provident Fund (PF)
• Employees’ State Insurance (ESI)
• Professional Tax (PT)
• Labour Welfare Fund (LWF)
• Minimum Wages Act
• Shops & Establishment Act
• Coordinate PF, ESI, PT registrations for employees.
• Ensure timely deposit of statutory dues and monthly/annual returns.
• Support payroll processing with statutory deductions and validations.
Documentation & Records
• Maintain statutory registers, records, and employee compliance data.
• Ensure proper documentation for inspections, audits, and assessments.
• Maintain employee wage records, attendance, and compliance reports.
Liaison & Audit
• Liaise with government departments, consultants, and statutory authorities.
• Handle inspections, notices, and queries from labour authorities.
• Coordinate internal and external statutory audits.
Policy & Advisory
• Keep updated on changes in labour laws and statutory regulations.
• Advise management and HR team on compliance-related matters.
• Assist in drafting and updating HR policies as per statutory requirements.
Vendor & Consultant Coordination
• Coordinate with compliance consultants and payroll vendors.
• Validate compliance reports submitted by vendors.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance
• Good understanding of payroll processes
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills
• Ability to handle audits and inspections confidently
• Proficiency in MS Excel and HR/payroll software
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Commerce, or Law
• Postgraduate qualification in HR / Labour Laws (preferred)
Experience
• 2–5 years of experience in HR statutory compliance (retail/multi-location experience preferred)
